Let's Call it Ladies' Day

The Cute Boy along with another rad dude from church threw a fab lunch for the ladies at church. All ladies were invited, whether they were moms are not.  It was simple and delicious and I left beaming with pride. And those lovely arrangements were all CB's idea. He whacked a hydrangea plant to make the arrangements, but you gotta do what you gotta do when you are on a budget. Oh how I love that Cute Boy of mine. One day he will be an amazing dad. He really is epic.

I am so grateful for my mom. She sacrificed so much so that her children would have the opportunities that they have today. My mom has held her chin up in hard times and has been an incredible example to me. She would go to the ends of the world for me and my siblings and I am so grateful for her pure and untainted love.

I am grateful for my mother in law and for the great example she has been to my husband. Every fine trait that he has comes from they way he was raised. She gave me one of the greatest gifts, the love of my life, my rock and strength.

I want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the women that I know. If you are a mother, your job is far more complicated and important that one can imagine and I am constantly amazed by your strengths.

Happy Mother's Day to those who don't have children and are fighting that great battle to embrace that day to be called a mother. You are incredible and as my friend Megan said you have the heart of lionesses. It takes alot of courage to be where you are. I know it's hard.

Finally, Happy Mother's Day to those who don't have children nor do they want children. Whether you like it or not, each and everyone of you has a mothering trait. You don't have to have a child to be a mother.
