Thoughts on Being a Veggie

Officially my month of being a vegetarian is up. I really thought I couldn't do it, but I am proud to say that I have not touched meat in a month.

So what now? Well, I have to say I loved it. I didn't miss meat at all. I feel so much better and healthier. I have discovered my love for brussel sprouts and leeks. It has been an interesting experience.

In conclusion I don't think I will go back to eating meat on a regular basis. I might have it once a month and that might be pushing it. So in reality, I probably won't be calling myself a vegetarian, but I will try my hardest to thrive on that diet.

Did I lose weight? You bet I did! It wasn't as much as I wanted to, but really I feel so much healthier.

Congrats on sticking to it! I think it's great to try new styles of eating, as long as you remember that really being moderate in your diet is the best way to go...eat meat once in a while, but don't go crazy...eat dessert when you feel like it, but don't gorge yourself...you know how it is! :)

I've all but stopped eating red meat -- we're down to ground turkey and chicken and fish. But I think I would face mutiny in our house if I took meat out entirely. I think the husband would rebel!

I did veganism for a while just to see if I could do it as well but I didn't do it healithy by supplementing my diet.
