Since today is my birthday, and I want to carry on with my birthday giveaway tradition that I started last year, I am giving away a fabulous pair of earrings.
My lovely and talented friend Anne, from Anne Garber Design gifted me with two pairs of stunning earrings for my birthday. One was for me to keep and the other was to share with you! I own several pieces of jewelry that she has made and I constantly get compliments on them when I wear them.
The earrings I am giving away today are sea blue chalcedony briolettes that dangle delicately from silver vermeil and twisted loops accented with an adventurine rondelle. Ear wires are sterling silver. Earrings are approximately two inches in length.

Happy Birthday, Layla. I hope you've had an amazing one. One thing that made me happy was going to the Chicago Temple today. I haven't been since I went through for the first time before my mission.

Okay, it seems cheesy that my first post on your blog is for a giveaway but those earrings are so beautiful.
One thing that made me happy today was spending 2 1/2 hours at the cannery filling jars with strawberry jam - it's good to help others (and I get to buy a few cases for my storage)!
Seeing those earrings made me happy. Those are beautiful! But mostly, Henry praying that he's thankful he got to eat chocolate made me happy.

Something that made me happy today was letting Jonathan get our son up this morning and change his diaper. Usually I have to do this but we all woke up a little earlier today! It was nice too for Talmage to get a few minutes with his dad before he fleed off to work.

One thing that made me happy today: Listening to Apollo make toast for him and Sunshine while I laid in bed nursing the baby. He was so cute, warning his sister that "the toast'es are hot when they come out so be careful."

What made me happy today?? This giveaway!!
Today I discovered that I received a scholarship of $840 dollars. That sure made me happy!

There's this guy that sells "tamaaaaaaaaaleeeees", you know.. the corn husk, mexican treat... right outside my home, on the corner. Every day I hear him yelling "tamaleeeees... con pollo y queso.... tamaleeeess" for hours.
Well, since moving to LA and seeing him first sell out of the back of his old and broken down truck, he's upgraded to a brand new spanking white ford focus, which I just saw him pull up in today.
It's a big deal to be "going places" in your life with goals. My corner tamale man is a hard worker who shows that persistence and stick-to-it-ness are things that bring success and accomplishment.
So, he makes me happy.
Now I'm going to go buy a tamale.

Happy thing: We bought something at a garage sale for $25 a couple weeks ago, and just sold it on amazon for $350. That makes me happy. And pays half my rent.

One thing that made me happy today? All the sunbreaks and warmer weather we had today. Made me smile :) !!
Well, my dad was supposed to fly in today -- but then he found out he has bronchitis so he went to the doctor. Apparently he isn't contagious, so he might try to come on a later flight. So I am kind of sad.
But I watched Grey's Anatomy and that made me kind of happy.
My friend and her family accepted my impromtu invitation to dinner.
Today what made me happy was spending time with my best friend Payden before he went to China for the summer. We blasted Lady Gaga in the car and filmed us and random people dancing to it. Yes, we spread joy through dancing in public.
