Today is Brock's 26th birthday and I wanted everyone to know what a LUCKY person I am to be married to such an amazing person! So in honor of Brock, I'm going to list 26 things about him that make me smile!
1) He is an amazing musician! He is brilliant on the guitar and bass and I love hearing him play.
2) Brock is such a hard worker. He never gives up on anything. Once he sets his mind to something, there is no turning back.
3) Brock is one of the most Christ like person I have ever meet. He is never quick to judge and has been an incredible example to me to be a better person.
4) He is young at heart and loves to have fun. I have done so many things with him that go beyond my comfort level of being spontaneous.
5) Brock is the big brother that my brother has never had. He has been such a good example to Sami and has encouraged him in all aspects of his life. I am forever grateful that Brock was able to ordain Sami with the Melchizedek Priesthood and be his escort when he went through the temple last year.
6) He is always willing to serve. So many times he has gotten up really early on a Saturday morning to help someone in need.
7) He is quick to forgive. A trait that I am still learning to master.
8) He loves good food and enjoys trying new types of food. Never a picky eater!
9) He is an incredible poet. I had no idea about this until I found one of his poetry journals from high school.
10) He loves to laugh. His laugh is contagious.
11) Brock served an honorable mission and worked so hard to bring the gospel to peoples lives.
12) He always encourages me to be the best at whatever I do.
13) When I was desperately trying to lose weight, he would point out how amazing I always looked and would call me a string bean.
14) He never pressures any one to do something that they don't want to do.
15) He never brags about himself. He is very humble in his actions and never wants to draw attention to himself.
16) Brock is the most calm and collective person I know. Whenever there is a crisis, he always seems to handle things in a calm and reasonable way.
17) He loves music and has introduced me to a wide variety of music that I'm sure I would not have discovered by myself.
18) He listens to his heart and is not afraid to follow his dreams.
19) He is willing to take risks in life.
20) From the beginning of our marriage, Brock has washed our clothes. I've probably done a handful loads of laundry.
21) He has been so patient with me in so many aspects. He has even taught me how to drive a stick shift without once yelling at me. By the way, I'm not completely comfortable driving it yet, and he doesn't mind driving me around.
22) Although I know he hates this, he will go shopping with me.
23) The majority of the time he lets me have my way.
24) He is concerned about me and my happiness. If I had told him no we are not moving at all to California we wouldn't have.
25) He has good taste in style. When we bought our first house, we had no furniture. I left to go on vacation for a month, and came home to a house full of beautiful furniture.
26) He picked me! I was a pain to deal with but he stayed with me through out everything. He has given me the most glorious life I could have ever imagined.
